WGR APP Voting Audit WGR AVM-EVMS app reads the actual paper ballot images and counts the voter’s selections as they appear on the ballot as soon as the polls close, while the official tally is being completed. The voter candidate selections are counted directly by the app. The WGR app operates separately from any official digital count, but is conducted by the same poll workers who manage the poll site. There are no QR Code counts. The image of the candidate’s name is used to locate the voter selection mark. WGR app counts vote selections separately, in a manner different from what occurs with the official digital tally. An independent check on the accuracy of the official digital tallying device brings added security to the tallying process. Apps from independent vendors can be used simultaneously to create multiple checks of the official count. The App is inexpensive. By creating an app tally separate from the official count as soon as the polls close, the audit provides a credible polling place help in ensuring accuracy.
